During the Disney Lorcana The Quest Ahead panel at D23, it was announced that Disney Lorcana would be returning to EPCOT's International Festival of the Arts in 2027. Details about what events and activities will be available have not yet been shared, but a Collection Quest and other activities seem like a safe bet.
I was able to attend the event in 2026, and it was a joy to see new and seasoned Illumineers alike socializing and trading with one another to help complete the Collection Quest. It was clear that some people were opening their first packs of Disney Lorcana ever, while others showed up with binders and boxes full of cards to trade and help others complete their quest.
To the excitement of Disney Parks fans, Figment will be spotlighted on a promo card available during the event! This also opens the door to what other types of Disney IP we may see represented on Lorcana cards in the future. Figment didn't originate in an animated movie or series, but rather as a Disney Parks character created for EPCOT's Journey Into Imagination attraction, so perhaps this is just one little spark of what's possible for Disney Lorcana down the road!
It was also announced that the Disney Lorcana TCG experience will be expanding across the Disney Cruise Line fleet in 2027 and beyond, including Collection Quests. No details were provided about specific events or promos at this time. I expect we could see a new wave of Disney Cruise Line promos and the retirement of the promo cards offered throughout 2026, but that remains to be seen.
